MacADUK Names Conference Director

The Mac Admin and Developer Conference (MacADUK) has named dataJAR’s founder and managing director, James Ridsdale, as Conference Director for its 2019 event running between 26th and 27th March at Prospero House in London’s Borough Market area. James will be supported by Ben Toms who joins the conference curation team and organiser’s committee with Amsys’s Alex Hawes, Rose Boutcher and James Holt.

Alex Hawes, managing director of conference organiser Amsys said: “I’m delighted to welcome James Ridsdale and Ben Toms of dataJAR onto the organiser’s committee. They will help give technical direction to the event and curate while we’re live.

“I’d like to extend a huge vote of thanks to David Acland because MacADUK was his brainchild while he was with us at Amsys. He’s now busy running his own company, Moof IT, so he has decided to step away from the organisation of this event. David been a huge influence on the success of MacADUK and I’m hoping we’ll lure him to speak at MacADUK 2019.”

MacADUK is now in its fourth year and has become a must-attend event for professional Mac administrators and developers across the globe. The Mac Admin community has been strong supporter of the event, but with similar events in Gothenburg and the USA, this year the format is being changed slightly. The new format show offers hands-on workshops and sessions streamed into enterprise and education sectors. New admins will be able to attend an optional bootcamp event on the 25th March which will provide an introduction to most of the topics under discussion.

Alex added: “This year we are splitting the event into enterprise and education streams to make the content as relevant as possible to our audience. It’s a phenomenal event that helps Apple Admins learn new things and set their strategy for the future. We’re all looking forward to welcoming the Apple community and many new faces to the event.”

Tickets to the conference are priced at £597 with concessions available.
