Our team spends the year bringing the event to life, from shaping the conference programme and working with speakers, to welcoming attendees on the day and making sure every detail is just right. But we're not just organisers. We're passionate advocates for the Apple IT community and believe MacAD.UK plays an important role in bringing people together to share ideas, solve problems, and learn from one another.
For us, success isn't measured by ticket sales or exhibition stands. It's seeing new connections made, conversations sparked, and attendees leaving with ideas they can put into practice the very next day.

Meet the team
Alex Hawes
My first MacAD.UK: 2016
At MacAD.UK: Providing a guiding voice for the event, supporting our partners and speakers, and helping ensure every decision is made with the community's best interests at heart.
The day job: Services development at Jigsaw24, helping organisations unlock more value from technology through innovative services and long term strategy.
Fun fact: Alex is a former British Army officer, former owner of one of UK's best known Apple specialists, and is always happy to swap stories from over 30 years in the Apple world.
James Holt
My first MacAD.UK: 2016
At MacAD.UK: Community champion and chief people person. You'll find him welcoming attendees and making sure nobody leaves without a new connection.
The day job: Lifecycle services specialist at Jigsaw24, helping organisations take the headache out of managing devices from deployment through to retirement.
Fun fact: Officially MacAD.UK's "Chief Gopher", unofficially the team's duck hider, cat herder, and owner of approximately 97% of the event's energy.
Max Davenport
My first MacAD.UK: 2021 (It was nearly 2020...)
At MacAD.UK: Bringing the important elements of the event together, from venues and suppliers to production and logistics, while quietly solving problems before anyone else knows they exist.
The day job: Founder and Director of FMD Events, creating events and experiences for major technology brands around the world.
Fun fact: Max loves MacAD.UK almost as much as she loves a good rum. Most of the fun ideas you see at the event started with her... and for every one that made it, there are another ten the team managed to talk her out of.
Liam Donnelly
My first MacAD.UK: 2021
At MacAD.UK: The technical know-how in the team, helping shape the content, challenge the ideas and make sure MacAD.UK stays firmly rooted in what actually matters to the community.
The day job: A technical and platform lead at Jigsaw24, helping organisations get more from Apple technology and leading the development of solutions including Elevate24 and Patch24.
Fun fact: Liam has been part of the Apple world for well over a decade, so there is very little about Macs he cannot talk about. Give him a stage and a vaguely technical topic and he is even happier.
Ade Leader
My first MacAD.UK: 2024
At MacAD.UK: Responsible for the conference programme, partnerships, attendee experience, and keeping one eye on the delegates and the other on the spreadsheets.
The day job: Customer lifecycle engagement at Jigsaw24, helping shape how customers experience the business from first contact through to long term partnership.
Fun fact: Ade has a soft spot for musical theatre, loves a good theme park, and firmly believes every great event starts with an even better spreadsheet.
Tawina Godwa
My first MacAD.UK: 2025
At MacAD.UK: Supporting speakers, coordinating event communications, and making sure all the little details come together exactly when they're needed.
The day job: Marketing Assistant at Jigsaw24, helping deliver campaigns, events and communications, while bringing fresh ideas and plenty of creativity to the team.
Fun fact: If Tawina appears with a camera, smile, you're probably about to feature on MacAD.UK's social media. And if you want to guarantee she catches your best side, a packet of Squashies is surprisingly effective.
